Yemeni army kills 3 Houthi leaders in battles in Al-Baydah

DUBAI: Yemen鈥檚 army killed three leaders of the Iran-backed Houthi militia on Saturday on the frontier of Al-Bayda district in central Yemen, Saudi state-news agency SPA reported.
鈥淭he three leaders were killed in violent clashes between the Yemeni army and the Popular Resistance on the one hand and the militia on the other hand,鈥� a Yemeni field source said in a statement issued on the defense ministry鈥檚 official website 鈥淪eptember 26鈥�.
The military front has witnessed continuous battles since last month in which the army was able to take control of large areas and reach the outskirts of the Wahbiya Directorate in Al-Bayda.
